Introducing a New Meat and Dairy Producer in Azerbaijan

"Shirvan Agro" has emerged as one of the largest agricultural enterprises in both Azerbaijan and the wider region, specializing in the production of high-quality meat and dairy products. The company’s state-of-the-art livestock complex, spread across 103 hectares in Shamakhi, is set to launch operations this year. The facility includes a meat production unit with 3,000 head of cattle raised for beef, alongside a dairy section with 2,400 cows. Plans are already in place to expand the herd with an additional 3,600 calves, bringing the total livestock population to 9,000. The farm features top-tier breeds, including Holstein for dairy, and Charolais, Simmental, and Aberdeen Angus for beef production.
A fully equipped meat processing plant operates on-site, focusing on premium cuts such as steaks and marbled beef. To support this, a dedicated room with ultraviolet lighting has been constructed to meet high standards of hygiene and quality. The complex is also home to the largest rotary milking system in Azerbaijan, enabling efficient and sanitary milk collection. Annual production targets are set at 2,000 tons of beef and 25,000 to 30,000 liters of milk. Looking ahead, "Shirvan Agro" aims to establish a breeding farm to develop and distribute genetically superior livestock. The company works closely with the Israeli agritech firm "Afimilk", which is showcasing its innovations at the exhibition. The farm is outfitted with cutting-edge technologies that ensure optimal animal care and daily health monitoring. More than 200 people, including local residents of Shamakhi and international specialists, will be employed at the facility.
Shirvan Agro’s participation in the exhibition is focused on establishing its presence in the market as a new, reliable producer of meat and dairy in Azerbaijan. A key priority is building a client base for product distribution. Leading dairy producers attending the event have expressed interest in high-quality raw milk, while major meat wholesalers, food manufacturers, supermarkets, and restaurants are expected to show interest in the company’s beef products.
