We are very happy to be here again in 2024 at CaspianAgro. We have been participating with a national pavilion for many years and this year we are bringing again a selection of Italian excellence both for agriculture and for food. We have 6 Italian companies exhibiting here that offer irrigation and nursery technology, manual packaging tools that can be used by farmers very easily, and then on the food side, we have machinery for the industry, for freeze drying, for cutting and processing fruits and vegetables, and also refrigeration of all sizes and purposes from the HORECA sector up to storage for producers and distributors. We also present some foodstuff that is typical of Italy.
So far, in these first two days of the event I have seen all companies very busy, some of them I know for sure have gone really well, for example, the packaging tools and irrigation systems have been very successful. They have a very good impression of the exhibition; that is for sure. Our companies are very interested in cooperation with Azerbaijani companies. All of them had interesting meetings here. What we are also trying to promote is investment opportunities for Italian companies to produce in joint ventures with Azerbaijani companies here just to make things easier, to reduce the prices, and to reduce imports to this country.
I think this exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for meeting, for communication, for exchanging technologies, for visiting this country not only as exhibitors, but also as visitors. In my perspective, very much of the bilateral relations or the international relations in agriculture are built around this exhibition. I think it is a bit of a highlight of agriculture every year: the head of state and the ministers visited the national stands today, and the foreign companies are happy to see such high level of attention.
